The Sabbath, from the Hebrew word "shabbat" meaning "to cease," is a weekly day of rest and worship. Shabbat is a day of spiritual enrichment and rest, observed from sundown on Friday until nightfall on Saturday. It is a practice observed in various ways across different religions, primarily stemming from the Abrahamic tradition of the biblical creation narrative, where God rested on the seventh day.
